FLIPPIN (October 4, 2007) In four decades of building trailerable, fiberglass fishing boats, Ranger Boats has always been at the forefront of innovations and technological advancements to enhance the boating experience for Ranger owners. Now Ranger is poised to take interaction and communication with customers to a whole new level through the completely redesigned

In celebration of the storied boat maker's 40th Anniversary, the redesigned website, which launched on October 4, offers not only the most detailed look at the 2008 Ranger boats, but also an intimate look at Ranger's legendary heritage. Through archival photos, videos and text, visitors to the website are taken back in time as Ranger founder Forrest L. Wood and wife, Nina, transitioned from humble beginnings in the Arkansas Ozarks to head one of most successful and iconic businesses in the fishing industry. As part of the nostalgic look back at Ranger's first 40 years, the website includes a timeline that features many of the company's most significant achievements, as well as other notable anniversary details and innovation firsts.

Perhaps the most ambitious portion of the redesign is the "Inside the Ride" section of This section highlights virtually every part of a Ranger boat: evolution, research and development, the manufacturing process, the innovations, the finished product as well as a look at the people who help make Ranger Boats what they are today. Unlike anything seen before in the industry, "Inside the Ride" will use photos, graphics, text and video to show visitors why Ranger boats are the best-built and most technologically advanced boats on the market.

"Today, the Internet is such a vital part in communicating with our customers, we wanted a website that reflects even more of who we are and what we do as a company," said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. "For 40 years, our obsession with superior quality, performance and innovation has been well known. This site helps demonstrate that passion along with the strong commitment we have to our entire family of owners. In a lot of ways, we approached this website like we do our boats: we want it to be the best it can be, to look great and be easy to use, while still providing visitors the tools and information they need."

Sections such as the "Custom Finish Shop," "News" and "Find A Dealer" are all located on the easy-to-navigate website, providing current and prospective customers - as well as Ranger fans - a way to stay up-to-date on the latest Ranger news as well as find the model that best suits them and their family.
