RANGER 186 REATA
Traditional fish n' play design with even more room for friends and funFLIPPIN, AR (July 31, 2007) Families eager to start living the fishing and boating lifestyle want features, performance, options and peace of mind without breaking the bank. To them, every minute spent on the water represents an investment in their relationship with each other.
New for 2008, Ranger introduces the 186 Reata, an extension of the already popular Reata series. This boat gives families the option for more space, more added features and quality at price that is very accessible to today's modern family. There's more room for fishing, a bigger back deck and a shallower interior to accommodate every angler in the family without sacrificing the versatility that have been a hallmark of the Reata series.
Measuring 18 feet, 6 inces in length, the 186 Reata is rated for a maximum 150 horsepower, enough power to make short work out of towing skiers and tubers as well as making runs to the hottest fishing spots. Sporting a 96 1/2-inch beam, the 186 Reata makes for an extremely stable fishing platform and delivers a smooth, dry ride. In addition to the two pedestal seats in the cockpit, the seating configuration features a full back bench to allow every member of the family a seat.
A walk-thru windshield comes standard on the 186 Reata as does a Minn Kota trolling motor, Lowrance or Humminbird electronics and a Sirius Satellite-capable CD stereo. Additional features include a 7-foot rod storage and separate ski storage. With a rear-mounted livewell, integrated cooler and easy access to forward and aft storage, everything needed for a fun-filled weekend on the water is within easy reach.
"This is a fish n' play design that really delivers a world of family fun features without sacrificing the fishing features," Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper said. "This is the ideal boat for that family who wants to fish in the morning and ski or tube all afternoon before meeting their friends in the back of a cove somewhere to watch the sun set."
Optional ski-tow package includes a ski-tow bar that mounts on the rear deck as well as a custom bimini top. Boarding ladders are standard equipment on the 186 Reata.
Equipped with a single-axle, custom-matched trailer featuring Road Armor and LED lights, the Ranger 186 Reata is easier to maneuver and enjoys the smooth trailering benefits of custom alignment and individually balanced wheels. Up front, the center swing jack retracts flush to the frame and creates a more balanced load, making it even more secure on the trailer. Combined with matching fenders, aluminum wheels, matching spare tire and wheel, Ranger's exclusive oil bath COOL Hub® lubrication system, torsion axle suspension, and swing-away tongue, the RangerTrail trailer delivers lasting peace of mind and easy towing.
