Ranger Angler Multi-Species – the Essence of Versatile Fishing Boats

FLIPPIN (September 27, 2006) Reflecting the growing popularity of versatile, multi-species fishing platforms, Ranger Boats has introduced two additional multi-species designs for 2007. Labeled as the 1760 and 1860 Angler models, both layouts tout wide-open interiors with the strength, quietness and full-featured details of quality fiberglass construction.

"These boats continue to set even higher standards while delivering greater comfort, convenience, and opportunity to anglers," said Ranger Boats President, Randy Hopper. "The 1760 and 1860 have an interior that's clearly focused on fishing. You'll notice the advantages of a larger front deck, larger center rod storage and the added benefits of a very fishable, open design. It's a combination of performance, durability and bottom line value that isn't found in aluminum boats."

Ideally sized for garages, tow vehicles, and budgets, the spacious Angler models are engineered with a deeper vee, deep interior design. According to Ranger, it's a configuration built to absorb the harsh challenges of big water encountered by walleye and musky anglers while also capitalizing on a highly maneuverable foundation ideal for crappie fishing.

Inside the broad beam designs, there's an abundance of rod and gear storage. A Minn Kota PowerDrive trolling motor tops the bow and Lowrance fishfinder electronics are also standard. Departing from conventional battery storage locations, these models have positioned the trolling motor batteries amidships. The central location creates a number of benefits including easier access and better overall balance. It also allows for a smoother re-entry in rougher waters. Finally, with the batteries arranged closer to the bow, trolling motor power is optimized.

Because fishing circumstances are always changing, the advanced hull designs of the 1760 and 1860 Angler models are engineered for a smooth, dry ride and responsive handling in a broad range of weather and water conditions. Designed with the Rite-Track Keel® - another Ranger exclusive - each model benefits from solid tracking and easier trolling even on windy days.

At the helm, the 1760 and 1860 are equipped with a full array of instrumentation including speed, tach, fuel, trim and water pressure gauges. Each features driver and passenger footrests, a built-in cooler and an on-board battery charger. An aerated baitwell is conveniently located just forward of the driver's console while an oversized 47" recirculating well spans the center of the aft deck. The added comfort of adjustable driver/passenger seats, a choice of low profile or walk-through windshields, snap-in carpet and an available canvas top make these designs an ideal choice for a world of fishing.

Each boat is delivered on a single-axle, custom-matched RangerTrail® trailer featuring Road Armor Equipped® protective finish and LED lights. The 1860 and 1760 Anglers are easier to tow and enjoy the smooth trailering benefits of custom alignment and individually balanced wheels. Up front, the center swing jack retracts flush to the frame and creates a more balanced load, making it even easier to maneuver on the trailer. Combined with matching fenders, aluminum wheels, matching spare tire and wheel, Ranger's exclusive oil bath COOL Hub® lubrication system, torsion axle suspension, and swing-away tongue, the RangerTrail trailer delivers lasting peace of mind and easy towing.

The all-new Ranger 1760 Angler and 1860 Angler. When it comes to delivering even more fishing advantages, these rigs are dialed in and focused on the fish you're after.
