Redesigned 619VS: Bigger Is Better

FLIPPIN (September 27, 2006) Rough, open water is nothing new to multi-species anglers. In pursuit of walleye, musky and other species, these devoted anglers need a boat that delivers the horsepower necessary to make light work of long runs without sacrificing the fishability they expect from their fishing boat. Since its release, the Ranger 619VS has fulfilled this need. But for the 2007 model year, the 619VS is redesigned to give anglers more power, space and peace of mind, making it an even better choice for multi-species use.

The 619VS is now longer, measuring 19 feet, 6 inches with a broader beam of 96 inches. The increase in length means that this impressive fishing boat is now rated for a maximum 225 horsepower. These redesigns bolstered the vessel's ability to handle rougher water and longer runs without affecting the boat's fishability. This top-of-line multi-species fishing boat boasts plenty of fishing room, abundant storage and plenty of power.

"Because their fishing styles range from long-range trolling to short-range flipping and pitching, multi-species anglers need a boat that is very versatile, a boat that can adapt to their fishing needs," said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. "In addition to needing plenty of storage and a practical layout that allows for easy use and maneuvering while on board, these anglers want a boat that gives them peace of mind when fishing those big, deep northern lakes that can sometimes be pretty choppy."

Available in both single- and dual-console models, the new 619VS has four all-weather SRS fold-down seats, two having adjustable pedestals and can be moved to the front and rear decks for the ultimate in comfort while fishing. Storage includes a center rod locker under the front deck, four large storage compartments (two in the front, two in the rear), built-in cooler and baitwell, as well as a 50-inch recirculating livewell with automatic timers center mounted on the stern. Equipped with state-of-the-art Lowrance electronics at the console and rigged with a NEMA backbone for easier rigging of additional electronics, this boat is also available with a wide range of precision-matched outboards. The instrumentation panel includes speedometer, tach, fuel, trim and water pressure gauges.

The interior features custom-fitted premium marine upholstery as well as a passenger-side glove box (dual console only). A 45-gallon fuel tank mounted under the center of the boat balances the layout, helping ensure tighter tracking and responsive boat control. Custom details for the 619VS include 44-inch stainless grab rails, carpet trim, carpeted rod storage with organizers, drink holders, gas spring lid assists, mesh storage pouch, running rod rack and molded-in driver and passenger foot rests.

Equipped with a tandem-axle, custom-matched trailer featuring Road Armor and LED lights, the 619VS is easier to maneuver and enjoys the smooth trailering benefits of custom alignment and individually balanced wheels. Up front, the center swing jack retracts flush to the frame and creates a more balanced load, making it even more secure on the trailer. Combined with matching fenders, aluminum wheels, matching spare tire and wheel, Ranger's exclusive oil bath COOL Hub® lubrication system, torsion axle suspension, and swing-away tongue, the RangerTrail trailer delivers lasting peace of mind and easy towing.
