Ranger Boats Teams with BassFan.com to Promote Ranger Cup Program
FLIPPIN, AR (October 2, 2002) Ranger Boats, the largest manufacturer of premium fiberglass boats, and BassFan.com, the world's biggest web site on professional bass fishing, have teamed together to jointly promote the Ranger Cup Cash Contingency Program.
BassFan.com will host a full Ranger Cup section covering all the news and standings of sanctioned Ranger Cup events and trails, including FLW Tour, EverStart tournaments, Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League tournaments, B.A.S.S. tournaments and other regional tournament organizations. The section will highlight anglers of all levels who participate in the Ranger Cup.
"Ranger Cup has been a great way for us to thank our competitive angling customers for their loyalty," said Bart Schad, Ranger Boats Vice President of Marketing. "And with more than $850,000 awarded in Ranger Cup contingency dollars over the last three years, we felt it was time to take promotion of this program to a higher level. BassFan.com is the perfect vehicle to reach our customers, and we look forward to working with them to promote the Ranger Cup."
"The Ranger Cup is one of the coolest programs in bass fishing," said BassFan president Jay Kumar. "If you fish out of a Ranger, all you have to do is display the Ranger Cup logo in a few places and if you do well, you win cash. That makes tournament fishing more fun for anglers of all levels, and gives them something extra to look forward to at every event. We're very excited to be the official marketing partner of the Ranger Cup and help promote what we feel is the best boat-owner program in bass fishing."
To qualify for Ranger Cup competition, anglers must own a Ranger boat, fish from a Ranger boat at qualifying tournaments, meet clothing and decal display requirements, and return a completed official registration form. Details of the Ranger Cup Program are available by calling (870) 453-2222 ext. 2247, by e-mailing email@example.com or by visiting the Ranger Boats web site at www.rangerboats.com. The new Ranger Cup section on BassFan.com will be up soon.
Cash and prizes will be awarded to 2003 Ranger Cup participants competing in more than 20 tournament circuits with a possible payout of more than $700,000.
