Ranger Boats Continues As Industry Leader With 33 Percent Sales Increases in Second Quarter
FLIPPIN, ARK. (September 20, 2002) Following a first quarter that saw a huge increase in sales, as well as a substantial market share increase over the previous year, Ranger Boats reported that second quarter sales figures ending June 30, 2002, were even stronger with 33% unit sale increases over the same period in 2001.
Based on retail registrations for the first six months of the year ending June 30, 2002, Ranger experienced sales increase of 27% compared to the overall boating industry, which showed a sales decrease of (5.7%) during the same period.
“Consumers are continuing to demonstrate their confidence and loyalty in our products,” Ranger Boats President, Randy Hopper said. “As always we are focused on the quality of our products and exceeding customers’ expectations. Experience has taught us that when times get tough , superior quality products seem to further distance themselves from the pack. The recent J.D. Power survey results also confirm the satisfaction, confidence and loyalty our customers have in Ranger.”
For the second year in a row, Ranger received the highest ranking among bass boat manufacturers throughout the U.S. in customer satisfaction according to the results in the 2002 J.D. Power and Associates annual Boat Competitive Information StudySM.
“The 2003 model year will mark the 35th anniversary of Ranger Boats and the reputation and commitment we have established for the highest quality and innovative products will continue to put Ranger ahead as the industry leader,” said Hopper.
