New for 2008: 2410 BAY RANGER® - Designed with even more room, features and fishing space

FLIPPIN (February 19, 2008) As the industry leader in fiberglass, trailerable fishing boats, listening and responding to the needs of anglers has been the hallmark of Ranger Boats throughout its 40-year history. Nowhere is that commitment to inshore anglers easier to see than in the broad array of bay boats and skiffs offered by Ranger. Now, as the numbers of saltwater sportsmen and women continue to grow, Ranger has evolved once again.

New for 2008, Ranger Boats introduces the 2410 Bay Ranger®: a bigger, more feature-filled, open-water rig designed to meet the needs of tournament anglers, guides and families alike. Knowing that catching fish - and being more comfortable while doing it - is key to any fun day on the water, the 2410 Bay Ranger® is designed for bigger water and bigger applications, offering more fishing space, a tournament-proven layout and design plus a bevy of comfort and convenience features to help owners make the most of their time on the water.

Measuring an expansive 23 feet, 8 inches in length, the 2410 Bay Ranger® is rated for a maximum 300 horsepower with 80 gallons of fuel capacity for long runs. Reinforcing this flexibility, the blend of power, size and fuel capacity all combine to create the ideal fishing platform for open water while still delivering a draft of just 13 ½ inches, making it suited for skinny water, as well. With a broad 100 ½-inch beam, the 2410 Bay Ranger® is an extremely stable fishing platform providing a smooth, dry ride with plenty of fishing room. The interior layout is highlighted by more depth, increasing anglers' peace of mind during runs and while fishing. Engineered with a wide transom, the 2410's new design eliminates the need for a splashwell, providing even more interior room, and is built specifically to accommodate a jack-plate as standard equipment.

At the helm, owners will find a larger, more user-friendly console and plexiglass windshield that allows for more electronics and better protection from wind and spray while remaining easy to maneuver around. With storage underneath the leaning post and a raised toe rail for added comfort, this area is also easier to access during cleaning. In front of the console is a large, insulated cooler and room for an optional head. Storage permeates the layout helping ensure easy access to batteries, breakers, nets and anchors, the boat features a 9-foot-6-inch rod locker on the starboard side and a 9-foot rod locker with seven rod tubes on the port side. Six stand-up rod holders at the console plus a 24-gallon and 17-gallon livewell highlight the unmatched fishing features of this high-performance rig. For passengers, a full bench seat is positioned at the stern.

The fit and finish of the 2410 Bay Ranger® adheres to the striking good looks and unmatched quality and durability for which Ranger is famous. Stainless steel pull-up tie cleats, cupholders and heavy duty rub rail, combined with a gel-coated, non-skid interior make this boat the ideal blend of form and function. Available with additional features such as fishing pedestals, trim tabs, bimini or hard top and other accoutrements, the 2410 Bay Ranger® takes anglers further than they've ever gone in a Ranger before.

"It doesn't matter if it's striper fishing in the Northeast or targeting grouper on rigs in the Gulf, anglers like to have the option of running out of the bays and away from the crowds in search of big fish," said Ranger Boats President, Randy Hopper. "We took a tournament-proven design and beefed it up when we made the 2410 Bay Ranger®. Whether in calm seas or rough chop, this boat is built to get you there comfortably and in style. And it has all the fishing features you could ask for."

Equipped with a tandem-axle, aluminum trailer featuring LED lights, the 2410 Bay Ranger® is easier to maneuver and enjoys the smooth trailering benefits of custom alignment and individually balanced wheels. Up front, the center swing jack retracts flush to the frame and creates a more balanced load, making it even more secure on the trailer. Combined with matching fenders, aluminum wheels, matching spare tire and wheel, Ranger's exclusive oil bath COOL Hub® lubrication system, torsion axle suspension, and swing-away tongue, the RangerTrail trailer delivers lasting peace of mind and easy towing.
